Michelle Stancil is a Registered Nurse, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and Manager of a large, multidisciplinary Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support Dept at Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina and Master of Science in Applied Health Research and Evaluation from Clemson University. Michelle participates in state and national diabetes initiatives; she is the current Chair of the ERP National Committee, Past Chair of the DSMES Interest Group Leadership Team, and is especially proud to have contributed to the revised 2022 National Standards for DSMES.
