Dr. Selorm Dei-Tutu is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist with a strong interest in public and global health. She joined the Texas Children's Hospital Division of Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology in 2019; after completing pediatric endocrinology fellowship, a master’s in public health and a Global Health Research Fellowship all at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Her overarching career goal is to provide complete and compassionate care to children with endocrine diseases on a personal and population scale, and she does that by leveraging quality improvement and clinical skills. Apart from being in full-time clinical care, she also co-leads the At- Risk Team of the TCH Diabetes Care Process Teams. This multi-disciplinary team works through quality improvement initiatives to reduce morbidity and improve care delivery for children with diabetes who are at high risk of DKA and other adverse effects of diabetes. She also serves as a TCH representative to the T1D Exchange QI collaborative, a national consortium of Diabetes centers all working to improve health outcomes for our patient populations, though multidisciplinary and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
