Dr. Robert Cuddihy is an ABIM board-certified endocrinologist with more than 25 years of clinical practice experience. He specializes in diabetes and obesity treatments and has served as a member of the board of directors of the American Diabetes Association. He is currently the Chair of the Section of Endocrinology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He has practiced as staff faculty at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, the Massachusetts General Hospital Diabetes Center in Boston, served as Chairman of the Division of Endocrinology at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Medical Director of the International Diabetes Center -World Health Organization (WHO) Center for Diabetes Technology, Education and Training in Minneapolis, and in the Division of Endocrinology at the University of Minnesota. In addition to an active clinical practice, Dr. Cuddihy has performed both basic science and clinical trial research contributing to numerous basic and clinical investigative papers in the literature, having participated in major diabetes trials such as the NIH sponsored DCCT-EDIC and ACCORD as well as multiple clinical drug and medical device trials in diabetes and obesity, including several in the GLP-1 class. He has spoken on diabetes and obesity related topics both nationally and internationally and remains heavily engaged in the diabetes and obesity fields.
