Gretchen Wells MD, PhD, FACC

Gretchen L. Wells, MD, PhD, FACC is Professor of Medicine at the UAB Heersink School of Medicine. Prior to joining the faculty of UAB, she was Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at Wake Forest School of Medicine and later served as the inaugural Thomas Whayne Professor of Women’s heart Health at the University of Kentucky. She has been active in the American College of Cardiology and served as Governor of the Kentucky chapter. She has participated in a number of clinical trials in cardiology and currently serves as chair of the Women’s Health Initiative Publications and Presentation committee.
