Dr. Grazia Aleppo is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Molecular Medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. She is also the Medical Director of the Northwestern Medicine Diabetes Training and Education Program. Dr. Aleppo graduated magna cum laude from the University of Catania School of Medicine in Catania, Italy. She completed her internship, residency, and endocrinology fellowship at The University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Aleppo’s clinical and research interest is in diabetes, particularly in the implementation of diabetes technology such as continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) therapy, and automated insulin delivery systems in clinical practice. She has participated in major clinical trials on the use of CGM and automated insulin delivery systems in various populations and AID systems pivotal trials. Dr. Aleppo is considered a key opinion leader in Diabetes Technology and has authored book chapters as well as more than 150 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
